Rich Activities

A 'Rich Activity' is a printable paper-based group activity that enables pupils to demonstrate team work and thinking skills.

Problems are presented in a variety of enjoyable ways including card matching exercises, mathematical team games and discussion topics.

All of the APP 'Using and Applying' objectives, along with PLTS are fully covered by the Rich Activities.

Slides

A 'Slide' is a full colour pdf file for display on interactive whiteboards or projectors. Slides give teachers the opportunity assess a whole class quickly especially if mini-whiteboards or peer-assessment are employed.
The slides provide fantastic opportunities for formative assessment. The slides can be used flexibly: as a teaching tool, as a final assessment or for starting discussions.

Write-on Sheets

The format of the write-on worksheets ensures that:

• questions are worded in a readily accessible fashion;

• the essential aids necessary to answer a question are incorporated within them;

• their presentation is clear and precise.

The multiple presentation of ideas in different contexts allows pupils incrementally to close the gap in their knowledge.

There are three sheets for each objective. This allows pupils multiple opportunities for success.

Spreadsheet

The 'Spreadsheet' greatly simpifies administering APP and formative assessment. Timesaving features are incorporated within the spreadsheet including:

• Sign a class off on an objective with a single click;

• Automatic generation of targets for reporting;

• Provision of levels in each of the attainment targets;

• Complete transparency and control over how levels are generated;

• Move pupils between sets.

Primaries can transfer data to secondary schools for greater continuity in assessment.

All of this is achieved within a file that does not rely on macros or altering any settings on your computer.
